Out and about in the Mayan Riviera

Fishing in the Mayan Riviera

One of the days while the girls went snorkelling the boys went deep se fishing. Apparently not everyone kept the contents of their stomaches in their bodies but it would seem they all had a great time.

They caught a 45lb Mahi Mahi and then had a great lunch!

Excursions in the Mayan Riviera

We all went on a couple of excursions while in the Mayan Riviera. Melinda, Jason, April, Paul Ross and I went on an off roading, cave swimming zip lining tour. We spent all day exploring caves in the Mayan riviera and up on zip lines. It was fantastic!

Melinda and I went parasailing one afternoon. The view was fantastic and it was so very worth it!

Mom, the Scullys (Paul's parents) and April and Paul also went to see the ruins of Tulum.

Getting to the Mayan Riviera

Well, we finally made it! It was a very long trip but here we are in the Yucatan enjoying the sun and beach.      We left Dakar on the 12th of May and landed in Montreal on the 13th, 2 hours later than planned. Bless my sister and her fiancee for waiting for us! The plane was having problems with it's landing gear before takeoff and so we had to wait for a mechanic. Glad the problem showed up before we took off!

Upon landing in Montreal we had a shopping trip planned that we assumed we would have time to nap before but being late nixed that plan so off we went to the mall. All in all it was a very productive trip. We found all the things we needed for the wedding and then went for dinner. We got in and to bed around midnight putting Ross, Declan and I at 41 hours awake. Slept very well needless to say and then the next day was the bachelor and bachelorette parties.

The boys had planned a BBQ, go-karting and then a night out but due to the rain stayed in to play poker and drink until their dinner reservations. The girls went for a pole dancing class in the afternoon and then out for dinner, a drag queen show and dancing. Everyone had a fantastic time but by 4 am everyone was in their beds!

After that we went to Ottawa to do TONS of running around and see as many friends as possible. Wendy, Darrell and the kids were wonderful hosts and we had a fantastic time. Then back to Ottawa and then finally off the the Mayan Riviera.

We are finally here and are doing as much as possible to enjoy every moment of it!!!

April's Bachelorette party

For April's bachelorette party Melinda and I wanted to do  something she would not expect. It wasn't necessary original but we did stay away from the male strip club!

In the afternoon we took April to a pole dancing lesson which she thought was a salsa lesson as when we walked through the door there was a huge add for salsa classes. The studio was nice and the instructor was very sweet and it was all right in the WI which was a huge bonus! We had a fantastic time and took some pictures and a video for Paul's eyes only!!!

After that we all went our separate ways and got ready for the evening (april of course looked fabulous!). We started with dinner a Saloon a great place in the village (the food was fantastic!!!) and then went to Chez Mado for a drag queen show and then out dancing. We all had a great time and April has not stopped raving about it.
